Yes, you need to know your
Descriptive statistics
Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheet)
Business metrics
SQL, And
Visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
You need to be hirable. and to be hirable takes more. Here’s the roadmap to making yourself stand out:
1. Show, Don’t Just Tell
It’s not enough to list skills on a resume; you have to demonstrate them:
Build Projects: Create projects that showcase your abilities in all these technical areas.
Showcase Your Work: Share these projects on GitHub, your personal website, or LinkedIn to show employers what you can do.
2. Connect and Prepare
Alongside your technical foundation, develop these core career skills:
Network: Connect with others in the industry and build relationships.
Practice Interviews: Use techniques like the STAR method to master interview responses.
Tailor Your Resume: Each role is unique, so tailor your resume to match the specific skills each job requires.
